“MANA BIYYAM” scheme, part of food security to poor: Minister for Civil Supplies D. Sridhar Babu
The minister was speaking after releasing AP State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited Technical Employees’ Association Diary.
The Civil Supplies Corporation has 100 technical assistants and 30 Junior and senior Technical officers are involved in the implementation of Decentralized Procurement Policy in seven districts --Nalgonda, Warangal, Karimnagar, Guntur Ongole, Nellore and Chittoor.
The AP State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited Technical Employees’ Union general secretary S. Vijay Mohan urged the minister to initiate effective measures to rejuvenate the corporation by recruiting adequate number of technical assistants to achieve 40 lakh MT of price target for State annual requirement of PDS rice at Re one a kg.
He also urged the minister to evolve a pension scheme by tying up with national pension scheme organized by various insurance agencies. The other demands are: Provision of Health Insurance to all the Employees through Arogya Sri; implementation of GOMs. No. 143 in to to and recruitment of more technical assistant at Grade II and Grade III levels for utilizing them at field level for next season. He also demanded setting up of full-fledged laboratories at the district level and head office besides creating infrastructure for scientific storage like godowns at the mandal level. (NSS)
